Connecting Communities through Fresh Food

Farm to Neighbor connects the community to fresh, local, and whole food. We make locally grown fruits and vegetables more accessible to our neighbors while supporting local farmers throughout our region.

Our Programs

Virginia Fresh Match
We double the value of SNAP by matching up to $30 per week for FREE fruits and vegetables when shoppers spend $30 in SNAP. This gives customers more buying power for fresh produce at 8 local farmers markets while addressing hunger in our communities. $345,028 distributed in SNAP & Virginia Fresh Match

Farm to Pantry
We partner with local food pantries and farmers to facilitate the purchase of fresh produce for distribution to pantries in our region. These partnerships increase food and nutrition security and strengthen the local food system. 150,662 pounds of produce distributed to local food pantries

Veggie Vouchers
Veggie Vouchers are a healthy food incentive program that provides customers with free, locally grown fruits and vegetables at the farmers market. Customers can sample locally grown seasonal produce at no cost and no risk. It's fun and it's free!

Who We Partner With

Farmers + Farmers Markets
Our work is made possible by local farmers and farmers markets throughout the region. We purchase locally grown produce from farmers through Farm to Pantry and partner with farmers and markets to make fresh food more accessible through SNAP, Virginia Fresh Match, and Veggie Vouchers.

Community Organizations
We partner with food pantries and other community organizations to help fresh, locally grown food reach more of our neighbors.
